Barton, 53, passed away Friday, September 14, 2012 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. His funeral will be at 1 p.m., Tuesday, at Brooks South Town Chapel at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Barton's family will greet friends from 5-8 p.m., Monday, at the chapel.

Barton Lee Polson, the son of Maynard and Gail (Black) Polson, was born October 10, 1958 in Des Moines. He was a graduate of Lincoln High School. Barton had worked as a warehouse manager at Hiland Potato Chips and American Tire.

Barton enjoyed being with his family, cooking, and gardening. He also liked to work on cars, ride motorcycles, and drink beer.

Barton was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

Barton is remembered by his daughter, Chrystal (Jeremy) Berstler; son, David Polson; his siblings: Cathy Lee Polson, Larry Polson, Sr., Mike Polson, Jackie Parsons and Terri Mott; and nine nieces and nephews.
